I loved my very peaceful stay. Breakfast was fresh made and the staff were happy to help. Worth every penny view of canal. A short walk to the astonishing beach. It had a clean restaurant.
-
The place was reasonably clean and staff was friendly efficient. We booked a deluxe room, it was well decorated and extremely quiet. Five star location, 5 minutes' walk to an architecturally innovative Norman Cofe cathedral.
-
The check-in was efficient, we really enjoyed snack bar.
-
Every detail was FIRST CLASS from the beginning, including location and staff, I loved it.
-
I enjoyed the very competent staff and free breakfasts. Fine room and coffee, balcony and iron/ironing board inside. The best sand beach I've seen before. Plenty of food in the hotel, casual restaurant. I was pleased with polite service too. Excellent value for money, and the location was pleasant for exploring Durham.

Employees were faultless and kept the hotel so clean.
-
So comfortable place. Plenty of supplies in the room: coffee and climate control. Hotel was very close to shops and a market. Also, it was just 1 km to an architecturally innovative norman cofe cathedral. The restaurant was superb here, I had tasty dishes. The pool was brilliant.

We really enjoyed the nice location and the staff were very pleasant.
-
Staff were fantastic, so I loved my being there. A private safe, an electronic key card and a TV set were a nice touch. Provided buffet breakfast. Honestly nothing too much trouble.
-
Spotless bathroom and car park is very reasonable in price. Really close to restaurants, bars and worth every dollar.
-
Really great location, 10 mins walk from the cathedral and so close to the Castle and the cathedral. Bathroom clean and well maintained. Parking was handy
-
Helpful staff and excellent location! Standard room was large. Loved that they had onsite restaurant The Brew Bar Lounge, no need to go somewhere else.
-
Warm welcome, eager to please staff, large bed with comfortable mattress, good bar food, prompt bar service, comfortable and relaxed surroundings
No airconditioning.
-
Very friendly and helpful staff, central position for city visit, excellent facilities.
Our room very hot, in dire need of air conditioning..Breakfast expensive.
-
the swimming pool was good.
Our stay was very enjoyable but why don't these hotels join the 21st century and when they can, refurbish the place. Do it piecemeal but at least make the effort.Go for clean lines and get rid of all the chinz.
